The Fiberglass Freaks

15 Year Anniversary Comic Con

September 22nd and 23rd, 2018 at the Logansport/Cass County Airport, Logansport, Indiana

To celebrate their fifteen years of building 1966 Batmobile replicas, Logansport native Mark Racop and his Fiberglass Freaks will be hosting a comic con at the Logansport/Cass County Airport on September 22nd and 23rd.  To help commemorate the event, they will be bringing the original, screen-used Batcopter to Logansport.  Also on display will be a replica 1966 Batcycle, and a current Fiberglass Freaks 1966 Batmobile replica, as well as Racop’s first Batmobile, built when he was only seventeen-years-old.

Racop said about 400 people attended his ten year reunion Batcon, held at the Logansport, Indiana mall in 2013, and he expects more for this convention.

“The owner of the Batcopter will be selling Batcopter rides.  He can take two at a time in the famous, original helicopter,” Racop said.  “We’ll have photo ops in the Batmobile, Batcycle, and the Batcopter, too.”

“Our convention will draw people from all over the country,” Racop said.  “We’re expecting people from Florida, Ohio, Tennessee, Illinois, Minnesota, and New Jersey, and they’re all coming to Logansport!”

When asked about the reason for his success, Racop answers, “The short answer is a lot of hard work, but the full answer is that I’ve been blessed with a talented and dedicated crew, we work hard to make our cars as accurate as possible, and the license from DC Comics is the icing on the cake, an absolute honor.”

Hours Saturday, September 22nd, are from 10AM-6PM.  Hours Sunday, September 23rd, are from 12PM-5PM

Adult tickets start at $10 in advance, and childrens tickets start at $5 in advance.  Batcopter rides and photo op packages are available, too.  To learn more about the convention or Fiberglass Freaks, go to their website at www.fiberglassfreaks.com, or call their shop at 574-722-3237.  You can pre-order your tickets at the Fiberglass Freaks store at: www.fiberglassfreaks.com
